FAQs

Where is the studio located?

Tru Yoga is located at 683 South Avenue, on the corner of Gregory Street in the South Wedge. There is free parking on both South and Gregory, and a parking lot behind the building. The lot is accessible from both Gregory Street and Hickory Street.

What should I bring?

Arrive in comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in, and bring a water bottle and a yoga mat, if you have one. Tru has mats that you can borrow, and all the other yoga props you might want for class.

When should I arrive?

Arrive about 10 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin. If you’re running late, no problem, but upon your arrival our desk staff will ask that you wait until the class is centered and grounded before entering the practice space.

What should I do when I arrive?

Check in with the person at the front desk and they’ll help you out! In general, we ask folks to leave their shoes and belongings (including phones) in the cubbies outside of the practice space. Otherwise, fill your water bottle, use the facilities and then head into your class!

Is the space accessible?

Yes! Tru has a wide entrance with no step-up and two gender neutral bathrooms with handrails.

Do I need to create an account to book online?

Yes, you’ll need to create an account in order to book classes online. If you need help with this, just pop into the studio ahead of your class and we’ll get you set up! To provide seamless and efficient registration and check-in, we ask that you have a credit card on file in your account.

Do I need to pre-register for class or can I just walk in?

Pre-registration is helpful, but not at all necessary - feel free to just show up and our desk staff will get you registered! Please note that if a class is near-full, folks that walk in will be asked to wait until all the registered students are checked-in.

What is your refund policy?

All passes and memberships are non-refundable. Please email us if you have an extenuating circumstance that you’d like us to consider. For example: work or travel plan changes will not be accommodated, but an extended break due to injury or illness may be.

I’ve never done yoga before. Where should I start?

Our instructors teach to the bodies in the room and try to incorporate accessible options whenever possible. Please check out our class descriptions page for info on our weekly classes, and reach out to us if you have further questions!

Do you offer yoga for pregnant people?

We do not currently have any classes specifically for pregnant bodies. If you have yoga experience and have been cleared by your doctor, you're welcome to join any of our weekly classes at your discretion. Please advise the instructor of your pregnancy before class so they can provide you with additional support, if possible.
